Data Science - concepts and methods to learn in a digital world by Prof. Ira Assent

In this talk, I give examples of data science methods that allow us to analyze our digital world to learn about complex relationships, predict events, or identify trends. Using recent examples of our research in unsupervised and supervised learning, I present some of the forms of data analysis that modern methods support. I highlight some challenges that the field is studying, including scalability, as well as transparency and fairness of machine learning applications, and highlight some of our research in these areas.
